Dear Friends:
Life continues to be an adventure! We look forward to the future and making the most of every moment. We value investing in experiences as a family and relationships with friends. We have some big news ahead…read on…
We spent Christmas 2023 in Florida. One highlight was the Candlelight Processional at Disney’s Epcot Center that has now become a tradition for us. This inspirational event includes a reading of the Christmas story from the Bible accompanied by a full orchestra and choir.
Work
Our team at LuminFire continues to work hard building custom apps, website and brilliant technology business solutions. LuminFire is active in the Claris FileMaker, Laravel, WordPress, and Apple communities. We were honored with the Claris Excellence Humanitarian Award for how we helped organizations through the pandemic. Our team is growing and we have added several team members around the US.
Play
I continue to be active in the National Speaker Association andĀ perform my magic and juggling entertainment occasionally for special events. Friends get together once in a while to juggle…
I also love to play piano and trumpet. I’ve had the opportunity to rehearse with the Twin Cities Trumpet Ensemble and Roseville Big Band and it was a blast. I joined the International Trumpet Guild and attended their annual convention in Minneapolis in the summer of 2023. I got the privilege to play the national anthem at the Minnesota Twins baseball game with 110 other trumpets!
In 2023 we produced the Legacy school Prom with a Star Wars theme. Bri attended as a junior and Arianna came back as Rey and worked in the cantina…so it was a real family event. That was just the beginning of Star Wars events as we celebrated May the 4th at LuminFire, built our Star Wars room, and experienced an unforgettable family voyage on the Halcyon Starcruiser!
Arianna
Arianna is now 19 years old. She completed her associates degree from Bethel University in the spring of 2023. Soon after she was accepted into the Disney College Program and moved to Orlando for a work internship at Disney World while completing her bachelors degree through online classes with Grand Canyon University (GCU). Her main work is at Hollywood Studios Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge as a hostess at the Cantina but she also gets to work at other places around Disney World and wear several different costumes as she makes magic with guests. Soon she will start a new position as a PhotoPass photographer in the Magic Kingdom. Her dream is to eventually become an imagineer and work for Disney in some creative technical or entertainment capacity. She’s sharing her experience on Instagram and Facebook. Arianna now has a home in Florida and is living with several roommates.
Brielle
Brielle is 18 years old soon and a senior in high school at Legacy Christian Academy. She spends lots of time with friends and boyfriend Finn as well as her job as a nanny during the summer.
The 2023 volleyball season ended with Legacy placing first in their conference. We were really proud of Brielle for displaying some great plays, leadership moments, persistence in the face of injuries, and excellent sportsmanship at the final game. The road to the state tournament started out very promising but ended with a very close loss.
Brielle participated in a mission trip with her school to the Dominican Republic where she used her sports talents to help kids with their gym activities and volleyball.
She played her last high school season of club volleyball with CrossFire this spring. Recently, Brielle attended prom with her boyfriend Finn and Brenda and I assisted in making the party happen with tech and decorations.
In a few weeks she will graduate from Legacy. In the fall she is going to Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida to study sports management and marketing.
Gigi
After 11 years as our family dog we needed to say goodbye to our cavashon “puppy” Gigi in February 2023 as she was getting very sick. We had so many wonderful memories together as the girls grew up. She will be missed.
Brenda and Tim
Brenda and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary on December 27th with dinner and fireworks at Topolino’s (“Mickey Mouse” in Italian) restaurant at the Riviera Resort in Florida.
The time has gone by too quickly. It was the best decision I made in my life to marry Brenda. I appreciate that we are such great partners. We love to create new things together.
Moving to Florida!
The biggest news for the Cimbura family is that we will be making Florida our permanent home sometime in 2024 after living in Minnesota for our entire lives. Arianna is already there and Brielle wanted to attend college “in a place with palm trees”. So that would leave Brenda and me as empty nesters if we stayed in Minnesota. We always imagined retiring in Florida but have learned with the loss of our mothers in the last couple of years that we do not know how much time we have in life so we are going to accelerate that plan while we are still working.
We see some great opportunities to expand LuminFire’s business influence in the sunshine state. So we have decided that it will be the best time for our family to relocate. It’s going to be a big project and a grand new adventure for us. We will be moving to a city called Winter Garden and beginning construction of a new home there. At the moment it is a concrete slab…and we are not sure when it will be completed. It’s about 15 minutes from Arianna, 30 minutes from our rental vacation home, and 20 minutes from Disney World.
Besides missing our friends in Minnesota, we will also miss our beautiful home on the lake. The home available for sale today.
We and many other guests have enjoyed our Florida vacation home over the last couple of years at Windsor Island Resort. We trust it will provide joy and happiness with special memories for many people including our family and friends as it has for us already. The Lelani Beach Club website has details. If you’re planning a trip to Orlando or Disney World please connect so we can help you plan a successful vacation. It’s fun to dream and talk about this happy place.
Conclusion
With challenging news in the world we continue put our trust in God and know that we will be OK. Andy Stanley from North Point reminded us that “Uncertainty is unavoidable. Fear is optional.” Eagle Brook has also some excellent helpful messages.
We are so thankful for our friends and family. We encourage you to follow on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Twitter where we share photos and thoughts throughout the year.
We wish you all blessings and success. If you’re in the Minneapolis area or heading to Orlando, Florida, give us a call. We’d love to visit with you at our home, office, or vacation home. Enjoy every special moment with those that you love.
